This button, when pressed, will log the time, date, and location information, and save it to the DVR. With this information logged it is a lot easier to scrub through the footage and locate when the "incident" took place. Once common use case is when operating a refuse vehicle. Councils like to log "missed bins", so when a refuse collector spots that a resident has not left their bin out, they can easily log the time and location for future reference.
